December 7 Christmas Luncheon

By clicking on the photos they will enlarge.
Good food and great company were in abundance on Saturday, December 7 for the Vancouver Polymer Clay Guild’s annual Christmas celebration.
L to R-Group gift exchange, Gail and Grace, April, Eileen

Our gift exchange, usually an ornament, was not compulsory so not all attendees took part and some went home empty handed.

Ties done by April. Gifts for attendees or make a donation for the White Rock Women's Shelter.

The luminaries challenge was done by a few members and the variety of lighted votives etc. was interesting.

Our Party Challenge

Only a few days left to our annual Christmas Party.
Our challenge again this year is “Luminaries”, any polymer clay object that will hold a votive candle. At this time of year as the days are shorter and darker it is always pleasant to view a candle, either real or the safer electronic votive available everywhere now.  The challenge is not compulsory but was lots of fun last year.

A few sample photos from last year’s challenge are:
1)Lawrence’s votive done with painted liquid clay.
2)Ellen’s cozy cottage lit from within.
3)Jem’s beautiful blue bowl holding her votive.
4)JoanTayler’s birds lit from within.

We look forward to seeing you at the clubhouse on Sat. December 7.
